CLAVELSHAY BARN RESTAURANT
An exciting new farm restaurant opened in Spring 2005. It is in a converted stone barn which was built around 1700, and is on a family run dairy farm on the edge of the Quantock Hills. The barn is situated in a beautiful valley with exceptional views, but is only 15 minutes from Taunton and Bridgwater.
The farm is run by William and Sue Milverton and they run the restaurant with an experienced chef. Their idea is to use home grown produce wherever possible and source locally for fresh produce.
The ethos of the restaurant is :
To serve food to warm the soul and which offers a taste of the countryside. Straightforward, flavour full cooking which depends on good ingredients rather than complicated presentation.
To provide service to make you smile and a bill that won't break the bank.
Sue Milverton runs a busy Bed and Breakfast business in the farmhouse and will still have two double en-suite bedrooms available in 2005.
