Dawna Henson was an inspirational speaker, with the following advice:-

Now is the magic word of success. "When", "as soon as" , "tomorrow", "next week",: synonyms for the failure word: never.

Start now. Start right NOW.

Tell yourself, "I’m in condition right now to begin. I’ll use the ‘get ready’ time and energy to GET GOING instead!"

Don’t wait for conditions to be perfect. Expect setbacks and difficulties. Prepare to take detours in your stride. When we detour we don’t have to change our Goal, we just travel a different route.

Regard the setback as a lesson. Learn from it. Research it. Use it to propel you forward. Salvage something from every setback.

Blend persistence with experimentation. Persistence is not enough on its own you need to be flexible - remember if you keep doing the same things you keep getting the same results. Back off and start afresh with a new approach.

Ask : Will this get me where I want to go?
