Welcome

Village Business is a self-help group for small businesses working in rural areas, particularly villages, and is based in Bishops Lydeard, Somerset, UK.

Its aim is to foster enterprise in the rural community, to develop growth and profit. It is informal, has a minimum of bureaucracy, emphasising instead the benefits to all of being part of the group.

This site acts as:-

•  A historical record
•  A marketing platform for members
•  A signpost to help other rural and village based businesses.

In addition, the group coordinates a Welcome Directory for the parish of Bishops Lydeard. The site also acts as a contact point for the directory.
